Given the institutional, economic, political and social environs in which it moves, Maglificio Innocenti S.p.a. acknowledges the great importance of environmental issues, and the responsibilities consequent on the company’s dimensions. For this reason, it pursues full implementation of the requisites of SA8000:2014 Standards, both in its daily work and as a strategic perspective. This means highlighting the importance of proper, transparent management of its human resources and making all stakeholders, inside and outside the company, aware of the need to observe the social accountability rules established by SA8000 Standard, applicable legal obligations and other regulations to which the organisation subscribes.
The SA8000 International Standard assesses the degree of Corporate Social Accountability, that is to say the company’s ethical, moral and social standing. The concept of Social Accountability not only means that the company has drawn up its own Code of Ethics, but that it includes its products and services in an environmentally friendly quality system, and above all in corporate ethics. The SA8000 system can be certified by accredited bodies.
The adoption of this Standard favors businesses that, as well as having technical and managerial competence, demonstrate sensitivity towards ethics and social problems, at no extra cost to customers.
